JUNETEENTH

JUNETEENTH

Today we recognize and celebrate the commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. Although the Emancipation Proclamation officially freed all slaves on January 1, 1863, it wasn't until June 19th, 1865 that all enslaved people in the United States gained their freedom. Today is meant for celebration, education, and self-improvement in remembrance of how far we have come, as well as how far we still have to go.

CHICAGO EVENTS

GHOST HQ is proud to call Chicago home. Here are some local events happening around Chicago in celebration of Juneteenth. We encourage you to find and participate in events near you.

JUNETEENTH

We ask all legends to take a moment today to learn more through the resources we have provided and reflect on the importance of Juneteenth as it is truly a reminder that no one is free until everyone is free. Over the past 5 years, GHOST has and will continue to learn how to best support all our legends. Building the brand we all wish existed, means building a brand inclusive of all races, ethnicities and cultures.
